Michewhat?? For those unfamiliar, you’re in for a treat. A michelada is a traditional Mexican cerveza preparada. What’s that? Sorry for the tutorial here folks, but this is important stuff.
A Cerveza preparada is a local (Mexico) expression for beer prepared with tomato juice, lime juice, and a bartender’s choice of hot sauces, spices, and peppers. The michelada is served in a chilled, salt-rimmed glass. Not only is it uniquely delicious, it has long been heralded as a remedy for hangovers (that whole “hair of the dog that bit you” thing). There are many variations of micheladas. For instance, the most common variety is prepared with beer, tomato juice, lime, hot sauce and sliced chiles. However, depending upon which bar you stumble into, you may find ingredients that include Maggi sauce, Worcestershire sauce, chamoy, serrano peppers, or even orange slices. What will you find for just $5.75 at Salsa & Agave? You’ll have to stop by between 11 AM and 4 PM to find out!
We saved the best for last. Our famous margaritas top the list of best patio drinks in the city, and are a big draw for our restaurant from open to close. This cocktail is handmade using the freshest ingredients, with exquisite care taken with each preparation. At just $7 a pop you won’t find a better (and more affordable) way to transport yourself to the topics between the hours of 11 AM and 4 PM.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
